And now Popeyes has answered our prayers as it releases a limited-time menu where they’ve combined the two.
They may have released the news on April Fool’s Day, but this is no joke.
The fast food chain, originally started in New Orleans in 1972 is introducing a new limited time offering – the Popeyes Pickle Menu.
And this menu isn’t just pickles on the side.
While Popeyes is known for its famous chicken sandwich and Cajun fries, the new pickle flavors are bound to be a hit.
The new dishes includes the Pickle Glaze Sandwich, Pickle Glaze Bone-In & Boneless Wings, Fried Pickles, and even a Pickle Lemonade.
“We’re pickle people, so we understand that there truly can never be enough pickles,” said Chef Amy Alarcon, VP of Culinary at Popeyes.
“This pickle-packed lineup was created to ensure the perfect balance of crisp texture, vibrant acidity, and our world famous Louisiana flavors with every bite.
“If you love that chicken, you’re going to love that pickle!”
Popeyes didn’t just pickle their menu, they also “pickled” their entire flagship restaurant in Times Square, New York turning it green from top to bottom, from the exterior signage to the entire interior, including an ASMR booth designed for capturing that signature Popeyes crunch.
The new items will be available from April 1st for a limited time, and here’s exactly what you can grab.
Pickle Glaze Sandwich: A briny twist on the iconic Popeyes Chicken Sandwich. Featuring crispy, hand-battered chicken coated in a zesty pickle flavored glaze, topped with thick-cut pickles and served on a toasted brioche bun.
Pickle Glaze Bone-In Wings: The signature crispy, juicy bone-in wings are tossed in a bold, tangy pickle flavored glaze, delivering the perfect balance of savory heat and briny goodness in every bite.
Pickle Glaze Boneless Wings: All the crunch, all the flavor—none of the bones. These tender, hand-battered boneless wings are drenched in a mouthwatering pickle flavored glaze, making them a must-try for true pickle lovers.
Fried Pickles: No pickle menu is complete without this classic! Crispy, golden-brown fried pickles are battered in Popeyes signature seasoning and fried to perfection, served with a side of creamy ranch dipping sauce.
